Baring is a friendly school, with an exciting and varied curriculum. We serve a relatively small area immediately adjacent to the school. The children and parents of Baring are from many different countries and speak over 25 different languages. This helps to make Baring a special place where we value our similarities and differences and learn from each other.

Baring Primary School is a small, friendly school, which serves a relatively small area immediately adjacent to the school. It is a one-form entry school, taking up to 30 pupils in each year group. At the moment, we have an additional, or ‘bulge’ class, in one year group. The Nursery has both part-time and full-time places and is staffed by a Teacher and a qualified Nursery Nurse.
The children and parents of Baring reflect the diverse local population. They come from many different countries and speak over 25 different languages. This helps to make it a special place where we all value our similarities and differences and learn from each other.
Located close to the South Circular road, the school consists of a mixture of old and new buildings. The traditional Victorian school building was substantially altered in the early 1980s and a new frontage was built, consisting of a hall, offices, and our ICT Suite. We have recently had two new classrooms built which have greatly improved our space. The school stands on grounds that have been substantially improved in recent years.
The curriculum at Baring is enhanced with many trips and visitors for all-year groups. We aim to use public transport as much as possible and encourage parents to be an active part of these learning experiences.
The school has a committed staff that works hard to enable the pupils in its care to achieve high standards. We are supported by an active Governing Body and parental involvement both in classroom activities and school trips and in fund-raising events.
