Arden Primary School is a three-form entry school that serves the thriving community of Sparkhill, In July 2013 our school had an Ofsted Inspection where our school was judged to be outstanding in all areas.
Arden School is a happy, busy, hardworking, and forward-thinking place that is a real joy to be part of. Arden is at the heart of the Sparkhill community in Birmingham, and we have wonderful pupils, staff, and parents who contribute to the ongoing success of the school. We have a strong, talented, and dedicated team of staff who are extremely hard-working, committed to raising standards, and have consistently high expectations of pupils both academically and socially.
We aim to make learning enjoyable, allowing every individual to achieve their best, nurturing their talents in a safe, secure environment, and providing them with opportunities to learn the skills required to become confident, tolerant, respectful young people, who will be able to contribute positively to the wider British society.
Arden is a safe and creative environment: a happy, positive, vibrant and forward-thinking community where each child and adult is valued and able to learn, play and achieve. At Arden, we aim to provide a safe, happy and caring environment where everyone is treated with respect. We aim to encourage good manners and responsibility, promoting a positive attitude to learning by recognizing positive behavior.
Our school aims to provide a curriculum that is broad, well balanced, and stimulating, enabling all children to learn regardless of socio-economic background, race, gender, or ability. Although the emphasis is placed on the teaching of English and Mathematics and the core skills of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, we make as many cross-curricular links with other subject areas as possible to create opportunities for skills to be applied in a range of meaningful, engaging contexts which promote a thirst for learning. Our curriculum gives opportunities for children to learn independently and through collaboration, developing well-rounded individuals ready for the next stage in their educational journey.
Arden school believes that a positive relationship between school, parents, and governors is crucial to supporting learning within and outside the classroom. We have a school community who work together to develop capable, confident, and tolerant members of society and we apply strong universal values to everything we do in school.
At Arden, we try to promote the joys of reading! We endeavor to share our love of reading as adults and encourage the children to read an increasingly wide range of authors and genres and to dip into more challenging texts to explore new worlds... the worlds created by the best children’s authors. At Arden, we will make sure that your child is safe and happy at school and we will do all that we can to support your child’s needs.
