KFS is an International Baccalaureate Continuum School offering three IB programs to over 1,400 students from the ages of 3 to 18 (girls currently until 6 years old). The school is organized into Pre-School, Primary School, and Senior School, each with its Principal, leadership team, and character but very much part of one school offering a seamless and fun journey from entrance to graduation. Many of our current pupils are the sons of former students who have a life-long relationship and love of the school.
We have exciting plans for the future and aim to develop the curriculum and campus over the coming years. We are extremely lucky to have the backing and support of the King Faisal Foundation which opens up opportunities and relationships with other educational institutes and businesses in the King Faisal family.
Unlike many schools in major cities, KFS is blessed with a very large, spacious, and green campus. Our facilities, lying inside the Diplomatic Quarter, are excellent allowing our learners to engage in many exciting opportunities to make the learner profile come to life. Be it in class, extra-curricular activities, or educational visits we challenge our students to enable their all-around development as learners and thinkers.
The KFS shapes tomorrow's men those who will continue to uphold good citizenship, successful leadership, and outstanding service to their parents and country. The goal of the King Faisal School (KFS) is to develop young people through a rigorous national and international program of study. KFS students are encouraged to attain academic excellence based on a foundation of faith, knowledge, and work to help create a sustainable, peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
KFS fosters respect for Arab Islamic heritage while embracing an international perspective which is vital to meet the demands of the modern world. KFS inspires students to succeed as world citizens and to be the best that they can be.
Our preschool is happy to have you as a part of our PYP (primary years program) family. Our program is based on the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), with a philosophy of national and international education that begins from the base of preschool.
The program supports our young learners in developing international-mindedness through the learning process and prepares learners for the future demands of the program. We are driven by a mission and vision that guides us to our educational goals.
The PYP is an exciting program that offers a framework to meet your son’s academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs. It also provides an excellent foundation for your son’s future learning in the MYP and IB Diploma programs. The PYP is an international curriculum that provides guidelines for what your children should learn and how they should be taught and assessed.
The King Faisal School is a school with outstanding facilities. KFS is a school that recognizes the real test of quality for a school comes not at the material level, instead, it resides in the quality of teaching and learning in its classrooms, the level of engagement of its students, and the sense of pride it can sustain in the members of its community.
The Secondary School encompasses both the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) (ages 11 – 16) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) (ages 16 – 19). The two programs for the Secondary School and are closely integrated. They provide the very best foundation for students, as they approach tertiary studies and the world beyond.
These internationally recognized programs and the King Faisal School’s educational philosophy closely align. Fundamental to this alignment is a growth mindset, founded in the process of inquiry. Students, guided and sustained within a supportive environment, have the opportunity to explore the world of knowledge and are introduced to the traditions of academic disciplines. At the King Faisal School students are immersed in learning and awaken to the magic of their growth and development, the student’s agency in this process and their capacity to contribute to their community and the world beyond is of paramount importance.
