Welcome to the Mountains Christian College. We trust that you will enjoy reading about the College and all it can offer you and your children. Blackheath on 16 beautiful hectares overlooking the magnificent Kanimbla Valley is an absolute haven for children! MCC is a low fee school drawing students from Woodford in the east to Wallerawang in the west. An education at Mountains Christian College could be the greatest gift you ever give your children.

Mountains Christian College is a non-denominational school committed to providing a comprehensive education for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Our students feel valued, encouraged, and supported by passionate and dedicated teachers. The College was established by Christian parents to see that its graduates.

Parents' choice of school will have a lasting impact on their child's life journey. Years spent at school can be rich and exciting, involving some of life's most memorable experiences and meaningful relationships. Each school has a unique culture and set of priorities and will introduce students to particular ways of looking at what is right, what is real, what is good, and what is worthy. In considering their children's education, parents must choose a school that shares their fundamental beliefs and values and understands what is most important in life.

Mountains Christian College seeks to provide a Christian education for children from Kindergarten to Year 12 in which children feel valued and safe, Jesus is honored, and where the role of parents is respected. The College believes that schooling should be a celebration of God's goodness in Christ and provide a stimulating environment in which students develop a love of learning, personal responsibility, and resilience, and awareness of the needs of others, and a desire to use their various gifts to serve God and others. The College's motto – "My Best for God's Glory" is realized through a comprehensive curriculum that includes:

    • An outdoor education program for senior school students.
    • A well-resourced computer laboratory
    • The utilization of technology throughout the school
    • A student-focused pastoral care program
    • An ongoing focus on supporting those in need through charitable organizations such as World Vision and Samaritan's Purse
    • A rich classroom environment with a differentiated curriculum that caters to the needs of all children.

The natural setting of Mountains Christian College, which overlooks the Kanimbla Valley, is a beautiful backdrop to enhance an educational program that is purposeful, rigorous, and informed by faith in Christ. Teachers of Christian character and commitment, who can support this program and encourage students to flourish academically, is a significant priority.

Mountains Christian College affirms every child's value and works in partnership with parents to provide quality Christian schooling for all its students.

Our school strives to be a place where children feel valued, loved, listened to, and secure. We believe that by working hard to be a community that strives to live and relate according to Jesus' example and direction, we go a long way to achieving that aim.

As the school is also owned and operated by its parents, all policies and procedures have been designed by the parents, creating a strong sense of ownership and ensuring strong cohesion between parents, staff, and students. Christian faith also gives us a unity of direction and shared values and aspirations.

We strive to be connected with our community and are open to all families who desire an education that is purposeful, rigorous, and informed by faith. We accept students of all ability levels and assist low-income families in ensuring that the school is open to anyone who values the benefits of a Christian Education for their family.
