Galstaun College aims to provide the best possible environment for our students' intellectual, physical, cultural, and spiritual development. Galstaun College was established in 1986 and is a co-educational, non-selective bilingual English and Armenian College with a mission to:

    • Continuously develop in our students a strive for excellence
    • Relay to our students, the essence of a 3000-year-old culture and
    • Prepare our students to be responsible, capable & contributing citizens and leaders of the future through a commitment to quality and self-discipline.

The Hamazkaine Arshak and Sophie Gaulstaun College opened its doors after a preliminary planning period of 3 to 4 years and a few demountable buildings in Terrey Hills and 39 students. The opening of the College doors was the realization of the vision of many community members who held a strong belief that establishing an everyday school is an essential ingredient for the survival of the Armenian community in Australia. The subsequent 30 years have proven that Galstaun College has contributed immensely towards the Armenian spirit's survival and growth in Australia.

1991 was a significant year for the newly established school with the official opening of a newly built Ingleside campus. During subsequent years, the community college added the 'Tchaprazian' library, the 'Der Bedrossian' laboratory, and 'Nalbandian' hall and the secondary college buildings' completion.

Within a short period, the sporting fields were opened, and in 2014 the community witnessed the opening of the 'Smokey Dawson' Multipurpose hall, which has opened the College's facilities to the broader community. The Homenetmen Antranig Chapter played an essential role in this development.

The Armenian Relief Society has been a strong advocate of the College since its establishment and contributes significant funds every year. Lately, the ARS has also contributed towards refurbishing the Information Technology labs.

Today the College has over 320 students who enjoy the architecturally designed magnificent campus in Ingleside. We owe it to the community today and into the future to care, nurture, and support our beloved Galstaun College over the next 30 years and beyond.
