Description Thales Cybersecurity & Digital & Identity (CDI) provides Customers with technology to assist them in Identity and Biometric Solutions (IBS) business line. Service Delivery Manager (SDM) shall manage the support and maintenance contracts related to Government Solutions (including Software and equipment supplied by Thales as well as third parties). SDM will ensure customer satisfaction in respect of contractual commitments, and the fulfilment of Service level agreements (SLA). SDM will be mainly involved in governance of incident, problem, and change management on the complete solution with contribution to upsell and new opportunities. The installed Biometric and Public Security Solutions with associated software, hardware and peripherals are integrated with the Customers processes. SDM work with the Customer, Thales Internal and External Partner Suppliers and Thales Development/Senior Technical Teams (Level 2 and Level 3 Support) to ensure our response and restoration processes are aligned to contractual SLA and Availability and Reliability are maximised. The role will work closely with different departments at our Älvsjö Office. The Line Manager is located abroad and so is several of the other Service Delivery Managers in the Manager’s team. Key responsibilities include: Act as the primary customer interface for Support and Maintenance (S&M) contracts. Manage customer accounts by providing regular activity reporting, including weekly and monthly updates, steering committee materials, KPI reports, and SLA reports; recommend service improvements; and support contract renewals and new commercial proposals in coordination with Sales. Monitor incident resolution, ensure SLA compliance, and manage escalations whenever required. Monitor contract financial performance and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Manage third-party contracts, communications, and performance monitoring where applicable. Coordinate and follow up on actions involving third parties and internal support teams, ensuring alignment with Thales processes. Prepare, plan, and manage the execution of changes in coordination with technical teams. Coordinate contractual activities such as preventive maintenance operations. Provide internal reporting on account activities and profitability; manage the contract using Thales tools in accordance with Thales processes. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: An engineering degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. At least five years of experience in service delivery management or project management for IT solutions. Strong customer relationship management skills. ITIL Foundation certification. Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish. Ability to travel at short notice within Europe. Eligibility for security clearance for Swedish customer. Experience working with remote teams. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Field Support Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth. Location – Portsmouth As a Field Support Engineer, you'll provide expert technical support across naval communications systems, ensuring equipment remains operational and available to support critical defence activities. Working closely with customers, maintainers and wider engineering teams, you'll investigate technical issues, support maintenance activities and act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert for allocated systems and equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced naval communications technology in a highly specialised and rewarding environment. What you'll be doing Acting as the primary point of contact for technical support queries from the user community.Logging and managing technical issues through the appropriate systems and databases.Coordinating technical investigations, working with stakeholders across multiple naval operating bases and external agencies.Liaising directly with customers to provide updates and resolve technical or scheduling issues.Providing Subject Matter Expertise for allocated equipment and communications systems.Supporting users and maintainers with fault diagnosis to minimise unnecessary equipment returns.Ensuring fault and incident data is captured accurately and maintained to a high standard.Supporting maintenance activities and driving continuous improvement across support operations.About you We're looking for a technically capable engineer with a strong background in naval communications and support engineering. You'll ideally have: Significant experience supporting naval systems and equipment within a defence environment.Extensive knowledge of naval communications equipment and associated technologies.Strong networking and IT experience across naval platforms.A solid technical engineering background with excellent fault-finding capability.Experience maintaining and diagnosing High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) communication systems.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders.What we can offer At Thales, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset.
