Introduction
IBM Data & AI unit’s MCSP IBM Cloud development team is responsible for the shared set of components, tools, and infrastructure that will enable IBM SaaS offerings to run in the IBM Cloud in a consistent way across Hyperscalers through the Multi-cloud SaaS Platform (MCSP). In general, MCSP helps IBM SaaS products to go to market faster, helps to meet customers where they are with marketplace integration, and helps to enable all IBM SaaS solutions to run in any hyperscaler. For IBM, apart from the go to market speed, it offers customers true hybrid cloud solutions and efficiency through shared operations with consistency of offerings across the core hyperscalers of Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), and IBM Cloud. As part of the MCSP IBM Cloud development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of implementations, execution, and automation for SaaS products specifically for the IBM Cloud hyperscaler enablement thru the Multi-cloud SaaS Platform (MCSP).

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a senior developer in MCSP IBM Cloud development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of API development and Site Reliability Engineering automation for MCSP product. We are seeking developer candidates at various expertise levels to join our team in Kochi, (Kerala,India), who possess the following qualities for success: a strong drive to achieve, the ability to learn quickly, intellectual curiosity, a passion for helping others, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Design and development of code for User Interface, API and automation.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Develop and maintain unit and functional level test cases and automate these test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the system.
• Work collaboratively with the global development team to design and implement new features
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers on the team.
• Participate in cross-component code reviews and ensure that all code is thoroughly tested and documented.
• Foster collaboration with teams in the system group
• Handle the operations of services deployed on the cloud. Prepare, write, or review technical documentation, such as content to be included in the product documentation and training materials.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ Years of strong development experience in Kubernetes, Kubectl, Python, JavaScript, Helm, GitHub, Docker, ArgoCD/FluxCD, Shell, Python, GoLang
• Software design and development- fluent in coding and code debugging experience:
• Experience in GitOps automation (Powershell, shell, python etc.)
• Working knowledge in Container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience with DevOps practices
• Knowledge of building and using observability tools, defining metrics or measures and dashboards, use of observability tools (Sysdig, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana)
• System design knowledge (cloud-native architectures, best practices for availability and resiliency, )
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes for deploying and managing applications (Travis, Jenkins,ArgoCD)
• Confident with infastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Blueprints)
• Confident with source control (Github, perforce)
• Experience with cloud services and platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, GCP, MS Azure)
• General Linux knowledge
• Familiarity with REST APIs scripting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information
• Self-starter, organized, willing to learn and solve things on your own
• Ability to work effectively as part of a world-wide, agile development team
• Proven track record of being able to own development projects from design through implementation and delivery

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
