Job Description
Seeking a Sr. Instock Manager to join Amazon Canada's Retail Hardlines business. In this role, you will own developing and executing on initiatives that will support inventory management for your categories, build an effective supply chain, and drive improvement in customer experience. To be successful in this role, you should feel comfortable using data to influence others and building scalable systems and processes to allow our business to grow. In joining this team, you will have the opportunity to both build and operate in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and will drive initiatives that improve sales, customer experience, and process improvement within retail and operations.
A successful candidate must be highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. They must be fearless but thoughtful in their pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
Strong candidates will have knowledge in fundamental business principles and previous retail experience. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage core Instock functions like buying, forecasting, capacity management, instock rates, unhealthy inventory, and reporting
- Create and improve Instock systems and processes in partnership with technical and product teams
- Interact with operations teams and drive efficiencies through team collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve cost structure and profitability and work with partner teams on execution

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience managing and analyzing large data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- Experience with SQL
- Experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others
- MBA or related Masters degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
