Candidates who delight in optimizing scarce resources and can strategically outline effective solutions rapidly should apply. The role requires the person to dive really deep in to processes and systems, needing to be completely hands-on and manage and influence at a high level at the same time.

The role will require working with senior business stakeholders including category leaders. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple projects, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. He/she will work closely with Category, Finance and Tech teams (WW platforms).

We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. This leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment and operational excellence. We are looking for strong business owners who are comfortable sharing their vision with senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details.

This is not a role for an order taker. You will be deeply involved in the overall vision, culture and direction of the team. You will represent the team in front of leaders of all levels across the company. Successful candidates will enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance and marketing. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, and lead executive-level reviews. Candidates must have a track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs.

Key job responsibilities

As the ideal candidate, you will need to be a passionate self-starter. You will need to deep dive and learn and be curious in order to understand the interplay of the different pricing inputs and pricing strategies. You will need to understand our existing products used by Sellers across and their requirements to excel in this role.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity, and be obsessed with driving clarity and creating structure.

You must have the experience and capability to write documents, leverage tooling, and establish the necessary cadence to drive execution. You must have excellent written, verbal communication and people skills.

Success in this role requires you to collaborate with senior leaders/execs across Amazon and influence their priorities. You will need to look around corners, balance tradeoffs, and drive high judgement decisions in a principled and customer-centric way.

Our goal is to earn long-term customer trust by offering the best prices to customers, across hundreds of millions of products every day and to help Sellers offer these best prices.
The Pricing team owns products which help improve experience for our Selling Partners by supporting them to automate pricing decisions and prevent manual errors. We also own products and programs designed to safeguard customer experience by preventing exposure of egregious pricing on A.in.

We are a central team at the core of the Amazon flywheel consisting of Product, Program, and Analytics roles driving large initiatives directly impacting customer’s price perception. In this role, you will be in the driver seat with a broad scope and high visibility upwards and sideways.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
- Master's degree
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
