Job Description

The Internal Communications Leader owns the development and execution of Auto&Mfg organizational communications strategy. This role will be responsible for the development of
strategic messaging and its delivery through executive-level content, including keynote presentations, technology demos, executive talking points and scripts, messaging documents, change management communications and internal events.

The Communications Leader develops and executes our organizational communications strategy. This role will be responsible for the development of strategic messaging and its delivery through executive-level content, including internal and external executive talking points, scripts, keynote prep, industry event preparation, change management communications, and internal events.

A day in the life
There are three communication work streams:
1/ Communication Support for Wendy Bauer, keynotes, external/internal speakings, org announcements, newsletters, all-team meetings, and social media posts.
2/ Communication Support for other L8 leaders in Auto&Mfg IBU, mostly for Knowledge Management and Content Review/Quality Control
3/ Internal Communication for Auto&Mfg IBU


About the team
Auto&Mfg IBU has a global team in all GEOs with 1 L8s among Sales, Tech, Partner, Solution, Business Development, and Strategy functions. Besides 42 global accounts, the IBU also provides business development support to Priority Scaling Accounts (PSA) in WWCS. The role will report to Senior Manager, Strategic Programs who leads Engagement & Communications for the IBU.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in internal and/or executive communications, product marketing, or public relations within the technology or related industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, or related field--Journalism, Marketing Communications, or Public Relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience in providing counsel to, and working with senior executives.
• 7+ years experience writing and editing narratives, scripts, and content for a range of internal
communications channels.
• 7+ years experience developing and implementing internal communications plans from ideation and
delivery, to measurement and evaluation in a multi-national business.
• 7+ years experience with project management on high-stakes communications activities for executives
and employees.
· Understand of the automotive industry and experience in working on both B2B and B2C companies
within the industry landscape
· Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling positioning and marketing content and experience
writing/developing content for executives
· Demonstrated experience writing strategic communications for large, global audiences that are a
combination of both business and technology audience in composition
· A bias for action for developing high quality communications assets (presentations, videos, scripts)
· Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
· Able to work backwards from sometimes ambiguous requirements to strategically design and execute
high-visibility communications.
· Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
· Highly organized with multi-tasking skills; efficient in ambiguous situations
· Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
