Job Description

Good storytelling starts with great listening. At Audible, that means each role and every project has our audience in mind. Because the same people who design, develop, and deploy our products also happen to use them. To us, that speaks volumes.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the Chief Technology Officer at Audible is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership of a leading producer and provider of audio storytelling and spoken-word entertainment. This is your chance to be an instrumental piece in helping to make the CTO the most efficient leader possible. This role is all about building strong trust and is relied upon for optimization of the CTO’s time.

ABOUT YOU
You've got the attributes to gain a deep understanding of the organization’s vision, goals, priorities and who’s who, and you will have the appropriate context to guide decisions around prioritization of the CTO’s time and requirements for meetings. We'll look to you to build the trust and confidence with all Executive Leadership members and within the community of EAs and the larger Amazon ecosystem. You're a masterful problem-solver with your ear to the ground and you have the foresight and nimbleness to understand intra-day issues that may come up and disrupt the schedules. You have judgement to prioritize and quickly adjust meetings. You'll operate with considerable autonomy and extreme discretion/judgement to work with little direction once objectives and tasks are agreed upon.

As an Executive Assistant, you will...
- Be responsible for extensive calendar management of all kinds
- Ensure CTO has appropriate materials and has scheduled time to be prepared for meetings
- Manage all every day and global travel arrangements some of which can be quite complex. This includes meeting set ups between Newark, Cambridge, and LA, travel arrangements, lodging, meals, expense reports, etc. and ensuring the most efficient ways to get from one place to another with detailed directions
- Prepare expense reports and other tracking reports as needed
- Organize and orchestrate staff/team meetings and other group events assuring “right people are in the room” and coordinate documents for meetings
- Plan appropriate reading and writing time, breaks, meals and sustenance during the course of the business day
- Assure all AV/VC and computer needs are appropriately planned for in all locations where the CTO is working
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards
- Be agile with the ability to accommodate working irregular hours and quickly adjusting to the fast paced, ever changing environment
