Introduction
System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services.  Sound pretty important?  Absolutely!  You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced candidate with very strong server repair and troubleshooting experience. Past datacenter experience is preferred. This position is for a datacenter server technician that will be servicing HP, DELL, Lenovo, SUN, and other x86 based server equipment in a dedicated account in Delaware Ohio. You will be working second shift during the hours of 7:00pm – 7:30am on a two-week rotation. The two-week rotation schedule will be working 3 days one week, then working 4 days the next week including that weekend. An in-depth background verification/check is required by the client to be onboarded and gain access to the facility. This will be cause for dismissal if not cleared by the customer background check process to work at the account.

IBM seeks to hire a Systems Services Representative for the Columbus, OH area. This role is for an individual contributor responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components, including hardware, networking products, software, and operating systems in a data center environment. They could be responsible for Intel Server, Networking, and Storage. They are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client. They advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation, and environmental factors that may impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation. They may also perform services activities such as systems assurance, systems-level problem determination, discontinuance, and relocation of IBM and non-IBM systems and products. They are accountable to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery, technical support, and operational services for the client account(s). When critical situations occur, they are the IBM technical interface to clients and manage the situation until they are fixed.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
· Technical school degree/diploma
· 3 + yrs Experience in hardware support of IBM and/or OEM Servers, Networking, switches, and routers or equivalent


Candidate must have good time management and be able to work individually and in small groups.
