The opportunity
The Search Engine Optimization Specialist will be responsible for handling day-to-day SEO tasks, work directly with service lines and sector stakeholders in Switzerland and act as the first point of contact for basic client or task-related SEO questions for our website, ey.com/en_ch. He/she will be helping to be build and optimize content that enhances our brand, serves users and drives organic traffic.  

 

Your key responsibilities

• Perform SEO audits, communicate issues and plan for implementation
• Conduct keyword research and recommend target keywords to guide content development
• Make page optimization recommendations based on SEO best practices and keyword research
• Deliver monthly SEO reports 
• Rewrite meta descriptions, page titles and h-tags and recommend changes based on keyword and search best practices
• Project Manage multiple SEO initiatives
• Use Conductor and Adobe Analytics to monitor organic traffic, KW and Page Rank performance on an ongoing basis and communicate progress and insights/recommendations to stakeholders
• Competitor analysis – identify opportunities for EY to stand out in the marketplace
• Train stakeholders on using Conductor, troubleshoot user issues, build workspaces
• Educate stakeholders and EY.com team on SEO best practices
• Website Management support, providing guidance around issues and resolution

Measurement – KPIs and What success looks like

• Increase in organic traffic preferably trackable / justified by keyword strategy
• Increase in CTR –  particularly on the desired CTA links.
• Quality of leads/conversions
• Keyword rankings 
• No. of keywords on which we are ranking
• Improved domain authority – vis-à-vis competitors on agreed topic/ subject groups at page level. KPI is improving DA, PA where possible and maintaining any higher PA DA observed.
• Engagement metrics such as time on site, scroll depth, link and CTA Clicks, user journey improvement and other goals as per business and content strategy. 

 

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum 5 years in an SEO support role
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including ranking factors and technical SEO
• Experience working with SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Conductor, MarketMuse, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, SEMrush
• Experience in website analytics
• Has an experience with HTML
• Strong communication skills 
• Strong knowledge of SEO relating to content development 
• Understanding of CMS
• Understanding of digital content best practices
• Add language requirements depending on location the JD is published

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including ranking factors and technical SEO

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Strong influencing skills
• Strong project and time management ability
• Technologies and Tools 
• Experience working with SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Conductor, MarketMuse, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, SEMrush
• Experience in website analytics
• Has an experience with HTML
