COMPLETE Transportation Analyst, Linehaul - Nashville

If so, Amazon’s Network Engineering & Scheduling Technology (NEST) team is looking for an experienced Transportation Analyst with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive accurate load scheduling for a quickly growing business segment. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our customers, and establishing end-to-end transportation scheduling processes. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers and third-party locations. The NEST team needs exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to design, develop, and improve our transportation systems.


Key job responsibilities
- Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
- Create and maintain tools and reports that support both Senior leadership as well as Operators at the site level
- Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
- Manage multiple ongoing priorities and closely adhere to internal team and stakeholder SLAs
- Design new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability and scalability
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources in order to provide visibility to pending changes
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
- Maintain/update documentation for internal training and reference
- Onboarding, training, and managing new team members
- Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing

Basic Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, and/or holidays
- 1+ years of Analyst experience
- 1+ years of Management experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables & charts and vlookup

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- 2+ years work experience in logistics/transportation industry
- Experience using SQL, Tableau, and/or Python
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of VBA, Macros, and merging datasets
- Data management & data quality control experience with knowledge pulling and analyzing large sets of data
- Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
- Experience using data to understand root cause of issues and improve processes to prevent recurrence
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience communicating professionally and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
