The Metrics Engineering Team is looking for a Front End Engineer (FEE) to join our team. Are you passionate about building highly scalable systems and tackling big data challenges? If so, then join us!

A day in the life
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

About the team
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience building scalable front-end infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services.
Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. Knows when (and when not) to use front-end software design patterns.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
Ability to articulate the benefits and challenges of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and tool-sets.
Ability to decompose a problem into clear software and UX design action

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications:

- 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 5+ years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience
- Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
- Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
