Job Description

The Customer Service Security team is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to secure hundreds of thousands of workforce users and tens of millions of customer interactions. We own the core authentication, authorization, and account management functions that power essential everyday tooling and security features of Amazon operations. This role is responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of core authorization and authentication products that span frontend, backend, customer data, and relationship management tools. You will partner with stakeholders across our larger security org, user experience, legal, and engineering to create scalable technology that can flex to meet the demands of our rapidly developing business. Security issues at this scale require a passion for engineering robust solutions to complex security challenges, as well as the ability to quickly design and build solutions to address a changing landscape.

Key job responsibilities
* Manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional products.
* Define 3-5-year strategic product vision and roadmap.
* Drive engineering teams to deliver results.
* Own customer engagement and take point on product reliability issues impacting customers.
* Align teams towards coherent technology and business strategies

A day in the life
This role will primarily focus on our identity and access management products supporting Customer Service. You will work with customers, stakeholders, our own engineering teams, other engineering teams at Amazon, and senior security and business leaders. You will monitor metrics, customer/stakeholder anecdotes, and align our roadmap and vision to best serve our customers, stakeholders, and employees. You will write PRFAQs to sell your vision on new product ideas and sell the value of your products internally to garner continued investment. You’ll meet with Product Managers and engineering teams to drive changes to our roadmaps, deeply understand their impacts. You’ll communicate the success of your program to senior leaders.

About the team
We are responsible for the authentication, authorization, and account management of hundreds of thousands of workforce users, distributed across hundreds of sites worldwide, as well as tens of millions of customer interactions every year. We safeguard the personal information of our workers and customers by validating people are who they say they are, and that they access the least amount of data necessary in Customer Service systems. Our team develops the product roadmaps, engineering platforms, and systems enabling access that drives efficiency, enforces least privilege, and enables our customers and partners to operate securely by default.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
