Job Summary
As the Florida Port Operations Manager, you will lead and support seamless guest experiences at various Florida ports, ensuring efficient embarkation, debarkation, terminal operations. You will be the onsite liaison for stevedore and security operations. You'll collaborate with internal departments and third-party vendors, maintaining high standards and continuous improvement. This role requires supervising and coordinating teams, managing relationships with governmental authorities, and fostering strong partnerships within the cruise industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership, exceeding Guest expectations and ensuring smooth terminal operations.
- Supervise Cast Members, third-party vendors, and partners, maintaining Disney standards.
- Oversee embarkation and debarkation procedures, optimizing flow, and coordinating luggage and transportation.
- Collaborate with departments and vendors, acting as a liaison to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with port authorities, Customs, Immigration, and other governmental entities.
- Represent the company in industry events, meetings, and associations.
- Monitor industry best practices, benchmarking to fulfill corporate strategies.
- Lead and manage large-scale media, VIP events, and projects related to embarkation services.
- Partner with Training team for development and implementation of orientation and guidelines.
- Analyze performance data and implement improvements for both internal and external processes.
- Travel to support outport operations as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- More than five years of cruise line operations or equivalent maritime industry managerial experience.
- Proven experience managing third-party vendors or complex governmental relationships.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Knowledge of US Immigration
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Proficiency in software applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of cruise industry and turn around operations.
Preferred qualifications
- 10+ years of operational management experience in the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of Disney Cruise Line policies and procedures.
- Cruise line or travel industry experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree
