As a Dining Standards Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Quick Service operations for the fleet for all day-to-day operations.  You will ensure that the Guest experience is being delivered efficiently and consistently by leveraging the strategic vision of DCL to achieve the highest level of Guest and Crew satisfaction.  In this role you will assist the ships with their ordering needs while adhering to the monthly and yearly departmental budgets and participate in the planning and integration of events and group functions impacting food and beverage.

You will report to the Manager, Dining Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quick Service team to define, communicate and achieve specific goals in areas of Guest satisfaction, Crew satisfaction and operational and financial excellence
  • Establish business priorities for the team and provide support to implement
  • Serve as a change agent to integrate processes, remove barriers and align performance goals
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and action plan as needed with observed trends
  • Actively participate in talent management for the Quick Service department through involvement in staffing decisions including hiring and promotion, and provide for direct and indirect reports professional development and succession planning
  • Lead all rotations for Casual Dining Service Managers and stay engaged with the Crew rotations and staffing levels
  • Look for ways to create, renew, refresh and delight our Guests through offerings while supporting revenue initiatives in Room Service and the Specialty Venues
  • Responsible for upkeep and development of Location Operating Guides while assisting shipboard leaders with implementation, review and revision of them as needed
  • Conduct audits of the onboard F&B experience and make changes as necessary as a result
  • Support all new build and dry dock initiatives for Quick Service areas
  • Support environmental processes affecting F&B for execution of the company goals
  • Establish effective partnerships with other lines of business and champion collaboration amongst shipboard and shoreside teams
  • Assist with overall Food and Beverage support in regards to processes and new implementations as required
  • Shoreside liaison for forecasting, ordering and sustainment of linen, china, equipment and operational supplies for the Front of House Dining, Concierge and Quick Service operations.
  • Maintain regular communications with Dining Managers to ensure they have the availability of needed products
  • Maintain vendor relationships and attend regular meetings with certain vendors to ensure product availability and quality
  • Maintain current general knowledge of Logistics and Trade Compliance to ensure adherence, meet appropriate truck and container schedules and educate vendors

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of F&B leadership experience
  • Current or previous shipboard experience
  • Highly motivated self starter with the ability to work independently and adapt to continuous change
  • Strong partnering, influencing, communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel minimum 25%  with some being for extended periods of time
