What you’ll do

• Hiring, coaching, goal-setting and professional development of team members
• Inspiring and encouraging the team. Ensuring that team dynamics continue to be healthy and that team cohesion is high
• Reviewing and providing feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategies
• Managing projects risks & creative problem solving
• Developing and evolving engineering and business processes to optimize team efficiency

• Drive strategic and tactical decisions which ensures the successful delivery of projects

• Apply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure solutions are maintainable, modular, and of high code quality

• Develop and evolve engineering processes and teamwork models, applying creative problem solving to optimize team efficiency

• Attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent. Motivate and develop the team as a player-coach to be a high-performance team.

• Lead the discussions on emerging industry technologies & trends and work with the team & leadership use this knowledge to influence product direction

• Partner with other teams across Adobe for achieving common goals    

What you need to succeed

• Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years as a software developer working on enterprise software
• 3+ years as a software engineering manager with a proven track record in meeting commitments

• Strong technical skills with experience in designing & developing mobile applications

• Strong working knowledge of software development methodologies and software design patterns and have experience leading significant software projects/products

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Hands on experience with Mobile App Development
• Experience with working on large scale production level systems
• Experience with Testing and Automation Strategy
