Job Description

Within the EU Reading Growth Programs team, we own and manage digital reading subscriptions (Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading) and promotions (for digital and print books) across 7 marketplaces, with the goal of inspiring new customers to start reading and to engage existing customers to read more. Selection is the core value proposition and a critical piece to the success of these programs. As Product Manager, Selection Growth, you are responsible for improving the quality of content in these programs, with the aim of accelerating overall program growth, plus delivering incremental ROI to Authors and Publishers. are satisfied with incremental sales and growth. Selection is the key part of the program flywheel - better selection helps acquire and engage more customers, who read more and spend more on reading, leading to better program economics to unlock more selection.

Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to the Kindle Unlimited, Prime Reading and Promotions selection strategies, coordination and execution across 7 marketplaces with the aim of engaging and attracting new customers to these programs and in turn growing publisher and author ROI;
- Work closely with partner teams (including Kindle Direct Publishing, Amazon Publishing) to better understand Customer, Author and Publisher needs, to identify and inform projects that you will own end to end to address those needs.
- Lead publisher experience improvements by partnering with Vendor Managers, Marketing and Product Managers, Developers and Analysts on experiments and initiatives;
- Support Vendor Managers with negotiations and catalog management, as well as with coordinating and tracking selection goals, spotting local opportunities and defining priorities;
- Develop tools to measure performance, improve reporting and define mechanisms to increase publisher engagement with the programs, plus to identify opportunities for automation/increased efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

- 4+ years of professional product management experience or similar
- Bachelor degree required
- Fluent English language skills required
- Exceptional written and communication skills
- Proven analytical and numerical aptitude and the ability to use data and metrics to identify opportunities
- Ability to lead projects effectively in a constantly changing environment
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, coupled with stakeholders management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation
- Demonstrated ability to define and successfully deliver complex projects
- Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments
- French, German, Italian or Spanish language skills
