Central Performance team is hiring a Sr. Manager who has a passion for delivering performance toolings on the cloud. 

Central Performance Engineering team is responsible for developing and delivering solutions for all performance engineering needs in Salesforce. The vision is for performance service to empower performance engineers and developers alike to test more and test often in public cloud. The service standardizes access to salesforce services for performance testing and analysis. Work on Go, AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Spinnaker and Terraform and other leading cloud technologies. This work is critical to ensure Salesforce and can sustain the tremendous growth we have seen in our transaction and data volumes on Public Cloud.

Responsibilities:

As an engineering manager for Central Performance team you will be responsible for 

* Build and ship innovative end-to-end performance testing solution
* Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineer
* Partner with Product Management, TPM, and other engineering teams to deliver and maintain high-quality and highly available software services
* Participate in cross-functional planning and coordination
* Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success
* Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving it before it happens
* Daily management of standups as the ScrumMaster for engineering teams
* Retain and hire top talent; mentor, grow and invest in continuous employee development of high-performing teams of engineers
* Closely track progress across multiple workstreams and deliver goals for varying stakeholders
* Effectively communicate and foster collaboration in the team
* Identify opportunities and improvements in the processes and culture of the teams and the larger engineering organization

Required Management Skills:

* Minimum of 2  years of management experience in managing, building, and recruiting a growing engineering team with 8 or more
* Proven track record leading software engineering teams to ship scalable and dependable products for public consumption
* Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, coaching, motivation and conflict-resolution skills 
* Time and project management skills
* Strong understanding of business requirements and prioritizing skills
* Experience with Agile and test driven development methodologies. Scrum Master experience required
*  Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Required Engineering Skills:

* Strong knowledge of Go, Java,  Koitlin, JavaScript or other programming languages.
* 5+ years experience leading software engineering teams with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
* Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Spinnaker, Helm and related technologies
* Experience with cloud native architectures on AWS, GCP or be AWS Cloud certified practitioner
* Experience owning highly available services and putting processes in place to maintain uptime
* Experience building high-scale, highly performant services
* Ability to understand, communicate, provide feedback on, and drive complex technical decisions
* Ability to identify limitations and offer solutions to challenging engineering problems.
* BS, MS in Computer Science or equivalent
