The Manager of Dining Standards is responsible for leading the Main Dining operations for the fleet. They will drive the development, execution and sustainment of the operational vision.  Leverage the overall strategic vision of DCL for current ships, dry docks and new build including dining on Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.  Lead, mentor and develop onboard team of Dining Managers, Restaurant Managers and Assistant Restaurant Managers.  Seek out ways to elevate the Crew and Guest satisfaction levels through training and innovation.

You will report to the Sr Manager- Dining Standards/Service Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Dining team to define, communicate and achieve specific goals in the areas of Guest & Crew satisfaction and operational and financial excellence
• Have regular and open communication with the Managers of Dining Service, Food and Beverage Services Managers, Food Managers and Hotel Directors
• Establish effective partnerships with other lines of business and cultivate collaboration amongst shipboard and shore side teams
• Partner with the shore side Dining Seating team in all items related to Main Dining- systems related and operationally
• Lead all aspects of the Service Excellence Training program
• Determine business priorities and provide support to implement
• Ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded for Main Dining venues while maintaining effective Cost of Sales
• Drive talent management by coordinating staffing decisions including hiring and promotion for all Dining leaders, and provide direct and indirect reports professional development and succession planning.
• Partner with onboard teams to achieve the highest level of Guest service through effective leadership, motivation and communication.
• Conduct audits of the onboard experience and make changes as necessary as a result
• Champion technology initiatives for Dining
• Assist with overall Food and Beverage support in regards to processes and new implementations as needed
• Partner with Walt Disney World Food and Beverage and integrate land based best practices into the ship Dining Operation where it will benefit the Guest or Crew experience
• Responsible to ensure shipboard leaders keep within Operational Budgets
• Maintain vendor relationships and conduct regular meetings with certain vendors to ensure product availability and quality

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in a guest facing department head shipboard position
• Minimum five-year (current or previous) leadership experience managing/leading a guest-facing team within the hospitality industry.
• Proven ability to run a multi-outlet Food and Beverage organization
• Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in common Windows computer applications and e-mail
