What You Will Do
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.
Deliverables are typically highly complex software programs and systems.
May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Conceives, designs, develops, tests, and implements software components, fixes, enhancements, and/or new systems and applications.
Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experiences.
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.
Analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments.
Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.
Accountable for developing technical contribution to team.
Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Some technical proficiency with one or more of these programming languages: Python, NodeJS, Java, Go, etc.
A basic understanding of Software Engineering practices
An understanding of data structures and algorithms
An understanding of Database systems
Experience with web application development
AngularJS or React experience
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Kanban
Education
Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology or a related field and returning to school following the internship.
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class prior to participation in the summer internship program OR currently participating in a Disney Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
All interns are required to provide their own housing and transportation during the internship.
