The opportunity
From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night consider the media you consume, the adverts you see, the apps you use, the websites you browse and almost all of the shopping you do online throughout the day. Chances are that every single one of those interactions, every single one of those experiences, was touched by an Adobe product.

Join the I/O Events team for an internship, to build event-driven experiences on top of Adobe's Experience Platform. Help design, create, deploy and run the various components of our stack: event management, monitoring, operations, analytics, connectors to Adobe and third party services. Work with product teams across all Adobe cloud products to expose events from their services. And much, much more!

The Adobe Developer Platform group (under which I/O Events is situated)  is responsible to give 3rd-party developers the platform to extend Adobe via interconnected tools and services, in a seamless experience​.

What you’ll do

•  Write Java code for our various components

•  Write test code

•  Deploy our components and test them

•  Participate in regular design, code and test reviews

•  Prototype and test new ideas to optimize and grow our service

•  Research new technologies that can be of use

•  Collaborate with a team of engineers and product managers, some of which work remotely

•  Work closely with security teams to ensure best practices are followed

•  Investigate bug reports and fix them

•  Communicate effectively with immediate management about features, risks, benefits and progress

•  Write design documents, and estimate schedule for the designated features

What you’ll need to succeed

•  Currently in university pursuing Computer Science or equivalent degree

•  Very strong Java coding skills

•  Hands-on, broad experience with cloud services

•  Containers, micro-services, Kubernetes

•  Experience with REST

•  Experience with various HTTP streaming techniques/push technologies

•  Experience with various technologies used on the server-side Java stack

•  Experience with relational databases

•  Knowledge of infrastructure and application security

•  Experience with Git and JIRA

•  Experience with a DevOps culture

•  Working knowledge of continuous integration systems

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions in terms that others can understand
