The Opportunity

Reporting directly to Adobe’s VP Marketing Strategy & Global Communications, the Sr. Director of Social Media is responsible for leading global social media strategy and operations for Adobe, across each business unit. This senior leader will collaborate with and lead a cross-functional team across Global Communications to refine and align the company’s social media strategy globally and develop an operation to implement Adobe’s overall brand and business goals. This role will also partner closely with Marketing, Product, Business Unit leaders and Customer Care.

What you'll Do

  • Set the vision and strategy for the team, then lead and mentor the team towards its achievement

  • Develop a coordinated, enterprise-wide social media strategy

  • Establish an always-on social framework to make Adobe more relevant to day-to-day conversations in digital culture; drive integrated editorial programming

  • Be the face of internal storytelling that shows the impact of our collective marketing initiatives on customer and business objectives

  • Set and maintain team-wide objectives and key results, working with their leads to flag and address opportunities for improvement and areas of concern

  • Ensure the team is running effectively, efficiently and delivering according to both long-term and project-based project objectives

  • Focus on delivering improving to deliver great creative work that remains accountable to business goals

  • Work closely with key social platforms and other marketing partners to drive innovation, best practices and results

  • Maintain operational excellence and standards that drive content velocity

  • Establish a culture of learning and development, focused on growing what’s possible for Adobe within social

  • Develop and socialize corporate social media governance and policies

  • Manage the selection and implementation of the technology stack and tools that run and scale the social media operation

  • Represent Adobe externally as a social marketing leader with vision

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years proven experience creating, executing, and leading digital marketing in a rapid growth environment

  • Passion for pushing the boundaries on digital experiences 

  • Strong understanding and eye for editorial content and creative

  • Deep knowledge and expertise of social platforms

  • Ability to deliver insights and points of view based on data

  • Experience leading teams and working in a matrix

  • Ability to collaborate and influence internally

  • Excellent oral, written and visual communications skills

  • Bachelors/advanced degree, or equivalent experience

Adobe’s Global Marketing Organization

Global Marketing and Communications positions the brand and the company, and partners with the business units to develop and implement integrated marketing that supports Adobe's business goals. In addition, Global Marketing has responsibility for developing business strategy and driving revenue in key vertical markets for cross-product solutions; defining the Web user experience; and ensuring employees company-wide have access to the information and tools required to do their work supporting Adobe's corporate priorities.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $157,800 -- $345,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
