Based in Tokyo, Japan, Adobe’s Area Safety and Security Manager contributes to the safety and security of Adobe’s sites across Asia-Pacific & Japan. They will be responsible for establishing operational objectives, participating with other managers/teams in creating and supporting strategic plans and implementing various programs to mitigate risk and create exceptional employee experiences.

This role is responsible for supporting investigations, safety compliance, security risk management, event security, incident management and emergency response, loss management, physical security system management and enforcing Adobe’s safety and security policies and regulations in the workplace. Successful performance will require building strong partnerships with local Employee Workplace Solutions, Employee Experience (HR), Legal and Business Leaders. This person should have extensive experience in investigations and crisis management as well. The position requires minimal travel to other offices and for training opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Work with Sr. Regional Manager to establish overall security and safety strategic objectives for the sites that support the company’s and department’s key objectives

  • Implement and deliver programs to support the objectives and builds cross functional support relationships to influence stakeholders and improve compliance

  • Act as liaison between Global Security Team and local personnel in all areas of safety and security as well as any other duties as assigned

  • Meet with site leaders, local executives and BU heads to understand their objectives and develop plans to mitigate risk exposure and improve employee safety through the business operations while enabling BU success

  • Responsible for Safety & Security program support

  • Perform investigations in partnership with Legal, Employee Experience and other groups as required for policy violations, worker misconduct, criminal activity, workplace threats and other potential risks to Adobe and its personnel.

  • Establish local Incident Management Program and Emergency Response Teams, conduct training and act as onsite incident manager in the event of an emergency or disaster and support the company’s business continuity program.

  • Develop strong partnerships with Facilities, Real Estate and Workplace Experience teams to deliver and support exceptional programs and services for employees.

  • Conduct detailed site Security and Health & Safety Assessments and work with appropriate management to rectify any problems/concerns encountered.

  • Coordinate site Safety Committees, prepare safety reports and track safety mitigation activities where required.

  • Respond, investigate, and report all information in regard to theft, alarms, accidents, injuries, and other incidents that may occur at the assigned sites.

  • Assist with new employee safety and security orientation, ergonomics, and other onsite safety and security programs.

  • Provide security support at company events in support of the marketing team or other business units.

  • Manage and coordinate delivery of emergency response training, safety training and other programs though vendors and other personnel in the field.

  • Provide security support to facilities project teams for office construction and moves to include system design, vendor coordination and final testing for the facilities assigned.

  • Ensure that their office(s) are in compliance with all Corporate Safety and Security guidelines and Corporate Policies

  • May also be assigned similar duties for other areas outside of the assigned office(s) as needed.
     

Requirements

  • Native Japanese language skills and business proficiency English skills.
