Director of Field Marketing, Japan.
As Japan Marketing Director, you will develop, implement, and optimise the Digital Experience marketing plans that deliver country-level pipeline results and executive engagement programs that enrich the Adobe brand across Japan. You will partner with sales leaders and your team to assess existing and emerging opportunities in developing your go-to-market plans. You will work with the regional marketing team to develop annual and quarterly plans that deliver the required vertical, partner, segment, and lifecycle results to achieve targets. You will be accountable for delivering all aspects of the marketing plan across Digital Experience products working in coordination with regional digital and production teams. Interpersonal and execution skills, communication and teamwork will be necessary to succeed in this role. With limited guidance, you will know what to do, when, and how to complete each task.
What you’ll do:
Strategy
Establish a strategy and multi-year marketing plans that achieve sales pipeline targets for Japan based on Adobe’s business and worldwide objectives. Provide counsel and insights to the regional marketing team on crafting marketing initiatives relevant to the Japanese market. Developing a deep understanding of your customers, country business environments, and Adobe products/strategies will be keys to establishing plans that yield success.
Plans will encompass physical/virtual events and digital activation across direct relationships and our partner ecosystem. As digital capabilities scale across the region, implementing innovative marketing approaches to improve return on marketing spend will be critical to success.
Brand leadership
Work with campaign, experience, and executive engagement teams and with the local communications team to position Adobe as leading the future of marketing and customer experience. Bring the One Adobe story to market across all marketing touch points and be a change leader across Japan to drive a unified cross-cloud approach in your marketing strategies.
Operational Excellence
Implement and ensure strong adoption of a business management system that allows you to own a predictable, cohesive, and successful marketing team. This will include regular meetings, consistent reporting, robust controls, and budget management.
Drive Innovation
Introduce new marketing approaches, processes, and optimization techniques to better connect with customers in relevant ways and achieve results. You will proactively incorporate changes into your planning and work with the regional team to request and embrace change.
Lead Your Team
Select talent, develop, champion your team, and retain critical talent.
How to succeed
- Proven experience in Enterprise Marketing, preferably in the technology or software industry (knowledge of Adobe products preferred).
- Management experience, leading direct reports or virtual teams.
- Shown success in developing customer-focused, multi-year marketing strategies, including deployment, measurement, evaluation of return and optimization using innovative approaches.
- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal communication and experience working across matrix organizations (working effectively with regional marketing, sales, operations, and external agencies will be keys to success).
- A motivated and adaptable individual with exceptional organizational skills
- Resourcefulness and ability to anticipate issues and work through them, proactive nature.
- Exceptional ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills
- Great follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible to thrive in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.
- Experience working in an international organization is preferred.
Native Japanese and business advanced proficiency of English skills.
