The Opportunity

From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night consider the media you consume, the adverts you see, the apps you use, the websites you browse and almost all of the shopping you do online throughout the day. Chances are that every single one of those interactions, every single one of those experiences, was touched by an Adobe product.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Adobe Commerce Digital Experience team, based in Bucharest.

We are seeking an experienced web application framework engineer able to design and implement sophisticated features of the Adobe Commerce platform in collaboration with multiple teams and the open-source community.

We’re extending the Adobe Commerce product offering through SaaS design principles, moving more and more of the storefront into the cloud, facilitating effortless upgrades on the merchant’s side, and enhance our ML capabilities to deliver quality insights to both the merchant and the shopper.
We work in smaller product engineering teams. This allows us to be agile while working as part of a larger organisation. Though we are established, in production, and iterating, there are plenty of challenges to overcome, decisions to be made, and new developments to do.

What makes us special

We believe that a strong process delivers bests results, so our JIRA workflow is lean, customized, and self-sufficient to optimize flow and throughput.

  • We believe in devops and unified engineering building autonomous teams with cross-cutting skills and end-to-end expertise from React, to Java and Golang.

  • We aim for intent-based leadership, transparency, emotional safety, and strong engineering culture.

What you’ll Do

  • Define, design, implement and deliver high-quality features for Adobe Commerce Platform and various related projects.

  • Choose the best approaches of implementation by following software design patterns and coding standard methodologies.

  • Ensure high quality by performing code reviews and providing static, integration and functional automated tests.

  • Take ownership and help improve the availability, performance, scalability, and security of the product. You’ll also ensure a strong emphasis on software backwards compatibility and cost of ownership.

  • Constantly keep the application tech stack up to date and contribute to open-source dependencies of our projects.

  • Work on the toolset and solutions to improve the internal and external developer experience.

  • Keep high levels of Security and Compliance with the Adobe Standards.

  • Work in a Lean-Agile environment.

What you need to succeed
