Job Title: DITA Expert - Content Information and Strategy

Job Description:

With over 10+ years of experience, we are seeking a highly skilled professional who is passionate about delivering engaging and informative content solutions using the latest technologies. If you have experience in implementing and managing Technical Documentation Applications, Enterprise Content Management Solutions, Digital and Dynamic Publishing, and Information Architecture, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. As part of this role, you will utilize your expertise to implement AEM Guides projects independently and provide end-to-end content services to our global customers in the domain of technical documentation and communication!

As a DITA expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging in the pre-sales cycle and providing product demos, training, and user guide documentation to prospective customers.
  • Developing and executing GTM (Go-To-Market) and awareness strategies for the AEM Guides solution, targeting specific sectors and use cases.
  • Performing content analysis and reporting on the current state, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Defining and executing conversion plans using automation tools and scripts, ensuring quality and consistency of the converted content.
  • Developing content strategy, including information architecture, re-use, governance, and best practices.
  • Migrating content from legacy systems to the AEM Guides platform using end-to-end processes and tools.
  • Supporting in scoping and estimation of projects and delivering them within budget and timeline.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the content information and strategy domain, preferably with AEM Guides or similar products.
  • Expertise in DITA XML authoring, publishing, and conversion tools and standards.
  • Knowledge of content management systems, web development technologies, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skill Sets:

  • DITA 1.3 with specialization
  • XML, XSL, XSLT, XPath, XSL-FO, FOSI, SGML, XSD, DTD, SCHEMATRON, EPUB, HTML5, XHTML5, JSON
  • DITA-OT custom plugin development
  • Linux shell scripting
  • Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and CSS3
  • Good to have tools knowledge such as Oxygen Editor, Stilo, PDF reactor, FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Workfront, Acrobat API

Additional Skill Sets:

Languages: Java, JavaScript, CSS3, XML

Scripting languages: XSLT, XPath

Web technologies: HTML5, XHTML5, EPUB, JSON

Plugin development: DITA-OT (DITA open source) plugin development (PDF customization, XSL-FO, FOSI, SGML, XSD, DTD, etc.)

DITA Editor: Oxygen Editor, Arbertext, any other DITA editors.

Adobe tools: FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Workfront, Acrobat API, etc.

Good to have experience with AEM Guides, AEM Sites, etc.
