The Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team builds innovative imaging products like Lightroom Classic , Lightroom CC and Photoshop, and is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated engineer and a technical problem solver to help build scalable and responsive desktop applications. This position is for Lightroom Classic team, based out of Bangalore, for Sr. Lead Software Engineer. Adobe Lightroom Classic is the flagship app used by photographers to non-destructively edit their images. It provides the user, all the desktop editing tools needed to bring out the best in their photos. Punch up colours, make dull-looking shots vibrant, remove distracting objects and straighten skewed shots. Easily organise all your photos on your desktop and share them in a variety of ways.

What you’ll do
  • Responsibilities include developing and driving test strategies to ensure product quality
  • Ensuring proper functionality and performance of application
  • Work closely with development team to design and deliver the key product features
  • Sense of complete ownership - own, complete end to end testing and delivery of assigned features
  • Creation of Test Plan / Test Harness / Execution / Regression testing / Defect mgmt.
  • Experience in modern test methodologies and processes executed throughout the software development life cycle and have a proven track record as an individual contributor in Agile team environment.
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver quality product releases on schedule using risk analysis and defect containment practices, test automation, and continuous improvement initiatives are key to this position.
  • Good at customer Advocacy and design/test from customer viewpoint to ensure a good product experience
  • Providing technical expertise to the projects
  • Growing the overall technical knowledge & expertise of the team
  • Responsible for overall quality of the product.
     
What you need to succeed
  • Good knowledge of Basic of computer science fundamentals like, Data Structures / Algorithms
  • Experience on testing Desktop(Windows, Mac)
  • Good knowledge of test design techniques      
  • Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Good coding skill in any scripting language like python is an added advantage
  • Hands on experience working with Automation frameworks- like Junit, Nunit, Selenium, Robotium, or any in-house automation / scripting experience is desirable
