As a Facilities Mechanical Area Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost effective operations of the CSTD development factories, the development of new enabling, hardening, environmental, or efficiency improvement technologies related to your assigned mechanical disciplines, the successful transfer of technologies to HVM sites within the network, and the support of construction ramps in CSTD and receiving factories. In addition, you will manage employees and/or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair buildings, utilities systems, facilities systems, and/or install equipment and associated support systems. This position requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non repetitive, analytical work and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • On all Mechanical operations assigned, including metrology on owned equipment, Plan of Record POR design ownership and responsibility for CE transfer to HVMs.
  • Accountable for detailed and/or accurate documentation including master design standard, process and instrumentation diagrams, sequence of operations, operational and maintenance procedures, statistical process control targets and control limits, response flow charts, and training packages for unit operations assigned.
  • Co-partnership with the CS TD innovation and Project Engineering teams to assist and approve roadmaps for the development of future POR Mechanical technology development.
  • Partnering with other business groups including LTD, FCE, DMO/ATTD, and CS central and HVM facility Engineers and Technicians.
  • Accountable for review of designs, construction, and operations for the technology receiving factories for unit operations assigned as well as management of all suppliers and/or vendors within the unit operations.
  • People management and/or project team management experience.
  • Knowledgeable in facilities operations, technology development, and process technology transfer.
  • Proven track record as a facilities technology leader - Experience in supplier management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic recommendations for business unit senior management team.
  • Willing to initiate and drive site wide decisions and program implementation.
  • Partner with other site discipline Area Managers to enable extraordinary results such as green and utility conservation program.
  • Build strategic partnership with our IFM and other vendors as well as internal business units to enable business growth.
  • Lead the operation team to manage unexpected situations such as emergency incidents.
  • Collaborate with regional Corporate Services team to enable global operations program design and implementation.
  • Develop and energize operation team through his and/or her leadership.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree. OR Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of process facilities engineering experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor Industry Preferred
  • 5+ years of people management experience with proven record of organizational and employee development.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Facilities mechanical, electrical, and waste treatment experience.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
