Job Description: 

The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel is responsible for transforming the Networks to be software-defined and driving leadership compute & acceleration at the Edge. The Office of the CTO (OCTO) in NEX is chartered to define and architect the technology strategy, stack and products for the distributed compute platforms for the Edge.

In this Technical Leadership position in OCTO, you will lead the AI System architecture which includes SW/ISA and HW acceleration for Edge compute platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to actively collaborate with customers, business leaders, experts, software/solution teams and drive innovation for optimized AI solutions for current and the next gen Edge Products. Your responsibilities will include but limited to:

  • Working with customer & industry experts to listen, understand, distill, and identify future AI trends in Network & Edge deployments

  • Translate the trends into technology gaps & actively drive actionable technology proposal(s)

  • Understanding competitive strengths and gaps in existing and planned AI products to architect leadership next generation edge products

  • Develop AI KPIs and workloads to define the next generation edge products

  • Lead the AI HW System and Product architecture definition and collaborate to define a leadership AI solution roadmap

In addition, you will have the following skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills to synthesize and create clear key messages backed by data.

  • Proven capacity to thrive and continuously learn in a dynamic, innovative setting, showcasing a growth mindset, quick adaptability, and a strong commitment to efficient execution

  • Demonstrated thought leadership and cross-group collaboration skills

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • System level understanding of AI with demonstrated technical skills spanning AI hardware, software, algorithms, software stack/tools, libraries, frameworks

  • At least 10 years of past experience developing and delivering AI hardware products or solutions

  • Ability to map customer requirements to HW, SW or hybrid based on market requirements

  • Knowledge of latest technology trends, algorithms and usages of AI especially as it relates to deployments at the edge

  • Experience in architecting AI HW solutions  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in and navigating a large corporation

  • Experience leading a technical team in a highly matrixed environment

  • Experience working with and influencing business leaders

  • In-depth knowledge of network and edge market, including software and hardware AI technology trends

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$211,730.00-$339,050.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
