In this position, you will be joining the Intel Automotive Customer Engineering team as a Platform Applications Engineer (PAE) in the Corporate Strategy and Ventures organization.  This is an exciting organization with a revamped roadmap looking to expand Intel’s footprint into the automotive market across the world.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Directly engaging with customer to represent customer technical needs and requirements in new product development.
  • Providing technical assistance for Intel Automotive customers through debug of customer issues and working across organizational boundaries to drive resolution for the customer for Intel automotive products.
  • Create and maintain customer collateral, training materials and user guides for Intel Automotive hardware and software products.
  • Support customer in proof-of-concept definition and implementation on Intel platforms.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Applicant must have a MSEE, BSEE or BSCS or equivalent.
    • 5 years+ of combined experience in the following:
      • BIOS/Bootloader/Firmware development, system integration.
      • Debugging automotive applications related problems from concurrent system configuration, software/firmware, and hardware variables.
      • Customer-facing support role

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in automotive system design and their use cases.
    • Strong lab debug skills. Ability to use lab tools including debuggers, Protocol analyzers and high-speed oscilloscopes.
    • Experience in the following areas: Android, Linux, graphics, displays, cameras, audio, hypervisors/virtualization, HSIO, MCUs, automotive ethernet

    Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

    US, California:$123,419.00-$185,123.00

    Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

    Work Model for this Role

    This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
