The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984.

We are looking for a phenomenal engineer to join our high-powered team to expand the technology that provides us with advantages in programmable solutions.

If you are an exceptional Engineer or Computer Scientist interested in a challenging research and development role, please apply. Our 10-million line Quartus compiler contains interesting NP-hard algorithmic problems, big data analysis, and software engineering challenges.

As part of the Quartus compiler team, you will drive improvements for performance and features for production devices, collaborate on HW/SW co-design for next-generation architectures, and lead research and development efforts to explore novel optimization algorithms for our FPGA CAD software tools.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field  with  + 8 years of industry software experience
• 8+ years of experience as an architect/technical lead with experience in EDA /CAD software  tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as an architect/technical lead for developing EDA placement optimization algorithms
• Experience with combinatorial/continuous optimization, including but not limited to SAT solving, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, linear/quadratic programming and applications for FPGA placement
• Experience with NOC optimization for FPGA placement
• Experience with applying machine learning techniques to EDA software

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$180,270.00-$288,770.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
