Intel's recently announced IDM 2.0 strategy includes a plan to significantly expand the manufacturing network, establishing new capacity and capability to meet the accelerating global demand for semiconductors. The Disaggregated Manufacturing Organization (DMO) will play an important role in this strategy, leveraging Intel's Advanced Packaging technology portfolio to deliver leadership products. To enable this ramp, DMO is building an Advanced Packaging manufacturing facility in Malaysia, increasing its investment in this region which has been a critical part of Intel's supply chain for over five decades. Join the Intel Malaysia Advanced Packaging team where you will be instrumental in developing and ramping some of Intel's newest Advanced Packaging technologies and help us realize Intel's vision to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth.

The job responsibilities will include and not limited to:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  • Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues.
  • Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance.
  • Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures.
  • Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions.
  • During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Microelectronic.
  • 0-3 years relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.

Working hours will follow shift schedule and crew that you are assigned to. Shift workers work four shifts of 12 hours a week, excluding overtime. Changes rotate between day and night each week. Day shift time is from 6:50am to 7:00pm and night shift is 6:50pm to 7:00am.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the Management.

  • Adapt with changes and be flexible
  • A high level of work in a startup is required: the ability to be productive, efficient, and to put in a lot of hard work during peak periods for the business.

Temporary Seeding in Kulim for training and support production as a preparation for factory start up in Penang until June'24.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
