Innovative product leadership requires creative, motivated people to develop the next generation of technologies for our customers.
As an automation software engineer, you will be responsible for software which supports the design and manufacture of micro-optic components for novel testing and assembly methods used in high volume production. This will include scoping software requirements and defining performance targets, planning and delivering industrial quality applications, characterizing and evaluating software components, and extending existing manufacturing systems.
Interacting with a broad interdisciplinary team composed of scientists and engineers in laser system development, chemical processing, optical design, chip assembly, component packaging and manufacturing, you will be a key member of the team delivering micro-optic components from proof-of-concept designs into high volume products.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
· Degree in Engineering or Physics with knowledge of high-precision manufacturing systems.
· Experience in programming with languages such as Matlab, Python, C#/.NET in an industrial environment.
· Experience in specifying, planning and delivering software projects in line with business priorities.
· Ability to gather, analyse and present technical data in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred qualifications and additional experience:
· MSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Control Systems or similar.
· 3+ years' experience in designing, developing, and optimizing software components and systems.
· Familiarity with key metrology techniques for mechanical and optical measurement.
· Experience in delivering leading edge technology through the product lifecycle using a structured, analytical approach.
