Job Description: 

In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, test, validate, and/or debug software to enable Intel product features to enable or utilize Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning and deep learning. You will need to understand internal and external partner software and develop software across the stack (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable and optimize specific AI features, capabilities, solutions, reference platforms, or Intel products.

Your scope may include the development of reference AI software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value of Intel AI products, the development and/or optimization of workloads for AI benchmarks, and workloads for simulation to support preSi power and performance analysis and architecture recommendations.

Qualifications:

Intel NPU IP group provides state-of-the-art hardware and software technology enabling intelligent personal computers, edge servers and other AI appliances. Power-efficient silicon, deep neural networks and AI algorithms are the foundation on which the group success is built.


We are looking for a Software Integration and Validation Engineer eager to join the team of AI enthusiasts. In this role you will be validating IP (hardware block) delivered to multiple Intel SoCs designs.

As an AI Technology engineer, you will develop, modify, and execute software test plans, analyze and write test standards and procedures, and maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. You will analyze test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommend corrective action, and consult with development engineers in the resolution of problems. In addition, you will adopt validation flows and methodologies and translate best-in-class verification methodologies from industry to internal deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing tests per schedules, tracking regression and deliverables

  • Defining and developing system validation methods, environments and test content

  • Creating manual and automation test specifications

  • Developing test cases in Python, C++ using industry standards (like PyTest, Gtest)

  • Creating and maintaining of quality bugs

  • Collaborating with hardware design, firmware, software and architecture teams to achieve a full coverage verification plan

  • Improving verification environment that increases product quality

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of related industry experience

  • Programming in at least one of the languages: Python, C++, C#

  • Experience with version control systems: git

  • Understanding of CI/CD test automation frameworks (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Understanding the concept of object-oriented programming and modular architecture

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Methodical problem-solving skills

  • Very good communication skills to report progress/problems/issues to engineering forums

  • Fluency in English language


Nice to have:

  • Understanding of SoC design, verification or validation disciplines, system/platform level

  • Knowledge of AI or neural computing, familiarity with OpenVino framework

  • Understanding security concepts in modern computing environments
