Job Description: 

ATM is the leading organization that manufactures Intel's microprocessors.

This position in SIMS, which is a component of ATM, allows the candidate to be part of an organization that manufactures market-leading testers that are used in Intel's ATM factories.


In this organization, the Senior PCB Assembly Engineer will be part of a team that creates assembly processes to assemble components onto the PCB before it undergoes inspection, testing and is assembled into a tester. The primary responsibilities for this position include:

1) Be a content expert for SMT and Wave processes;

2) Have in-depth knowledge of interactions between Assembly processes, PCB and environmental factors;

3) Drive process improvements to achieve higher yields and better run-rates;

4) Assume the process integrator role to provide leadership in assessing assembly technology risks for boards built at SIMS.

In this role, the Senior PCB Assembly Engineer must possess a strong technical background to comprehend technological challenges, be comfortable in challenging the status quo and engage stakeholders to best integrate his work to deliver Operational Excellence with the highest quality at the lowest cost.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate should possess a relevant Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of 8 years working experience.
  • Relevant experience in the PCB industry is strongly preferred but candidates with strong assembly process knowledge from ATM will also be considered.
