Our Purpose

To bring smart, connected devices to every person on earth, Fab Construction Enterprise FCE is responsible for the design, engineering, and construction of all of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom projects in Oregon, Arizona, Israel and Ireland. We are a team of specialized inhouse project manager, architects and engineers in a highly collaborative environment. We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the world with demanding schedule and cost constraints.

As an Intern you will join a team of Engineers and Project Managers gaining practical onsite experience working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders such as Architecture and Engineering firms, and key trade companies in the Semiconductor and Office Building Construction Industry.

What you will do

  • Support FCE project managers managing a wide spectrum of Construction projects to enable Intel businesses including new Fab modules, Fab conversions and special building projects as we transform to a Data Centric company.
  • Manage day to day construction operations to ensure project safety is maintained.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into high quality Designs that enable biddable, affordable and constructible solutions.
  • Foster innovation and transform traditional construction practices by driving new methods and engineering solutions by leveraging industry insights to Intel's multidimensional challenges.
  • Review Quality Incidents and quality KPIs.
  • Use data extraction, datamining analysis skills to identify trends, outliers to reduce program, schedule, Quality variation, drive corrective action.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives with your team, organization which will improve the construction performance of the area.
  • Identify innovative solutions to problems influence required stakeholders to drive implement change.

Qualifications:

  • Current student of Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
  • Competencies you will have and further develop in the role Analytical problem solving skills, Teamworking skills, Planning and organization skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills Customer focus Leadership influencing skills. Stakeholder Management Self-motivation.
