Job Description: 

• Provides sustaining engineering support for Chemical and Gas System operations and maintenance, ownership of system capacity vs. demand and system troubleshooting.

• Assists to meet semiconductor purity requirements by facilitating usage of and contributing to knowledge of chemical compatibility of materials for process fluids and gases, as well as materials of construction needed for chemical and gas, or Vacuum Pump and Abatement systems.

• Helps to manage code and compliance issues related to Chemical and Gas Systems and associated infrastructure and develops and maintains SOP's and SOO's for respective systems.

• Assists in carrying out engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight of distribution systems for chemicals and gas equipment, or Vacuum Pump and Abatement and systems.

• Supports writing scopes of work and bid requests for proposals and oversees projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget, and schedule and reviews construction management documentation such as submittals and requests for information.

• Assists to create and communicate project documentation including sequence of operations, installation procedures, and checklists for commissioning and startup.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting, Plumbing, Electrical or similar.

• NCEA Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic engineering or equivalent. Minimum of FETAC level 6.

• Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs and work ergonomically within in confined spaces.

• Able to perform job roles and responsibilities while wearing personal protective equipment.

• Able to work from heights and climb ladders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to excel as an individual contributor and part of a team and work effectively across multiple facilities operations disciplines.

• Knowledge of chemical nomenclature and gases used in a semiconductor processing facility.

• Knowledge and proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pumps, valves and PLC control logic.

• Ability to operate a PIT (forklift, pallet jack) and spend a considerable part of your day working in a mobile environment.
