Sets the technical direction of firmware development. Makes architectural decisions regarding software structure, interfaces, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and/or validation direction. Often performs and leads pathfinding activities and surveys future technologies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
At least 8+ years of proven experience in SoC firmware engineering.
Strong embedded SW fundamentals, including a deep understanding of design and development flows, real-time constraints, concurrency, and multi-processor systems, caching and virtual memory.
HW SW architecture and design partitioning, CPU selection, memory estimation, and requirements analysis
Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces, register and interrupt programming, bare-metal software development, clock and power management.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams including SOC Arch, Silicon Design team, Validation to develop efficient Firmware architecture for upcoming SOC.
Collaborate with Intel silicon design, software, and business teams to transform new firmware security features from idea to reality.
Makes architectural decisions regarding firmware structure, interfaces, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and validation direction. Often performs and leads pathfinding activities on future technologies.
Knowledge of design strategies for maintainability, scalability, and code reuse
Leading large and complex projects, including feature planning, prioritization, status tracking, and issue triage and reporting.
Excellent organizational skills, including experience leading teams.
Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
Prior experience on Intel SOC Power Management and Knowledge of Automotive domain, compliance will be added advantage.
Experience with configuration and release management, continuous integration, and regression testing

Educational Qualifications:
9+ Years bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or related discipline OR 8+ years master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science Engineering or related discipline OR 10+ years PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or related discipline.
