Job Description: 

The successful candidate will join Data Center Power Solutions team to perform analog validation in a laboratory environment to test power conversion designs. The candidate will work in a team environment with specific assignments and will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work. May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work. Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Qualifications:

Technical Diploma/Polytechnic in Electronics Engineering or Higher degree in Electronics Engineering 

 

2 plus years of experience in the following areas: 

 

  • Analog circuit measurements, microcontrollers, power electronics within last 3 years. 

  • Proficient in Digital meters, power supplies, oscilloscope, including advanced functions, probes, termination. 

  • Reading the schematic and drawing of electronic circuits 

  • Ability to use bench test equipment and follow a test plan to make high precision analog measurements. 

  • Ability to methodically and logically work through test setup issues and resolve them. 

  • Communication skills, specifically interacting with Voltage Regulator Design Engineers to use analog measurement equipment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with LabVIEW software 

  • Experience with ITP, Aardvark I2C-SPI Host Adapter, and GEN5 VR Test Tool equipment 

  • Ability to bringing up a server system and update firmware for BMC, FPGA, VR controllers. 

  • Ability to communicate findings verbally and through reports to VR engineers and other requestors as needed. 

  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with a variety of different individuals in a fast paced, technical environment. 

  • Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment where changing priorities is the norm. 

  • Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork, classes, research. 

  • Organizational skills to support Iab structure and regular routine lab maintenance, equipment calibration, parts and platform tracking, platform ordering/purchase. 

  • Platform rework, including platform and package rework, soldering, replace components. Should be expert in soldering BGA and 0201, 0402, 0603, 0805 packages. 

  • Allegro layout files to identify electronic components on boards. 

  • Writing and modifying Python scripts
