Intel has announced a major expansion of Intel's production capacities in Europe and plans to develop two first-of-their-kind semiconductor fabs in Magdeburg, Germany, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt. A State Aid Approval procedure for the project is currently pending with the European Commission. According to current planning production at the site is expected to start in four to five years following the European Commission's approval. As part of an Intel Engineering and Science team you will undergo a comprehensive training program designed to support you in becoming an engineer that owns product performance and transforms our products into computing technology that influences how the world works, plays, learns and communicates.

You will be hired into Intel Magdeburg GmbH, spending your training period as a relocation assignment in Ireland and return to Magdeburg as a final placement

What you will do:

  • Participate as part of an Engineering team to deliver world class performance on critical success indicators in a highly automated wafer fabrication facility and with your team lead continuous improvement.

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing statistical knowledge and problem-solving tools as well as developing strategies to prevent the recurrence of the problem in future.

  • Partner with our 24x7 technician team to troubleshoot equipment and process issues to facilitate sustaining operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement on process and equipment operational indicators to support our future customer demand.

  • Identify innovative solutions to problems and influence required stakeholders to drive/implement change.

  • Work with Virtual Factory partners to implement change across all Intel manufacturing sites.

Qualifications:

  • You should have a Bachelor or Master in a Science or Engineering discipline which could include but not exclusively: Physics, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Eng., Electronic Eng., Electrical Eng., Mechanical Eng., Mechatronics, Biomedical Eng., Manufacturing Eng., Production Eng. Nanotechnology and Math's etc.)

  • If you have worked in a clean room environment it is a plus, not a must.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
