The CSO/Intel Automotive (IA) Business Unit is leading the way to transform the way we move, work, and live by leading the definition, development, and delivery of commercial and consumer solutions across automotive, automated transportation and infrastructure markets like ADAS, Connected Mobility, Software Defined Vehicle.

We're a strong, vibrant, and agile global team who is responsible for developing a variety of comprehensive HW and SW solutions for products desired by our customers and markets.

In this your responsibility will cover:

Embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform.

Source code development, review and maintenance (C/C++).

Unit and system level test and verification (TCL, System C, Modelsim SE) Experience in low level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture, hardware design.

Develops embedded software/firmware within environments that have constrained timing and memory resources, designs and implements reusable code, performs design and code reviews, as well as tests and validates product implementations.

Works with a variety of storage interface standards. Performs system level design modeling, and systems integration, additionally performing algorithm modeling, benchmarking implementation, and/or digital signal processing.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience.

  • Expert with low-level software/firmware requiring direct interaction with hardware (e.g. CPU initialization flow, bootloaders, uEFI, pCode, ME, etc.) Experienced in trouble shooting and resolving issues. This will include the TR phase, development phase and legacy product/customer problem resolution phase.

  • Board platform bring-up experience on x86 architecture.

  • SW/FW development skills across various programming languages, development environments and development methodologies include but not limited to: C/C++, Python, Agile, etc.

  • Familiarity with use of MISRA development guidelines Familiarity with embedded Linux distributions Good experience on I/O interface standards such as GPT, GIO, PWM, ICU, UART, SPI, I2C. Good experience on CI toolchain (Jenkins, Git and gerrit)

  • Some experience in System level design, modelling and testing tools (e.g. cmake, protexIP, Klocwork, JUnit, Googletest, BullseyeCoverage Python SVN, Bugzilla).

  • Good experience in System integration using 8, 16, 32 bit microcontrollers. Hands on working knowledge of some or all of the following BIOS, FSP and UEFI Firmware as well as bootloader solutions like Automotive Bootloader, Slimboot, uefi wrapper, CoreBoot.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Manageability Engines (ME), Power Management Controller (PMC) and Authenticated Code Module (ACM) Firmware.

  • Hands on performance analysis and optimizations of boot, memory components. Documented experience on MCU development on Aurix MCU.

  • Ability to work with distributed teams and in different time zones

  • Good written and spoken English
