Job Description: 

Intel’s Product Assurance & Security (IPAS) team is chartered with building & maintaining customer trust through unparalleled security, privacy & assurance of Intel products. This team drives security & assurance governance, identifies emerging threats, secures existing products through mitigations, and defines & initiates future security innovations for Intel products.

The Intel Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is a key component of the IPAS charter and is responsible for managing the identification, assessment and disposition of risks associated with security vulnerabilities affecting Intel products.  The team comprised of technically resilient and dynamic individuals that share a passion for product security and are able to operate calmly and systematically under chaotic conditions. 

Core job responsibilities include: 

As a member of PSIRT Communications team you will evaluate technical aspects of security vulnerabilities and developing customer consumable collateral in line with Intel’s product security communications guidelines.  Working across the company you will leverage your organization skills, technical acumen, and strong oral and written communication skills to guide PSIRT in the production of high-quality customer appropriate vulnerability information. You will also contribute to the transformation of Intel PSIRT into a world class industry recognized model of excellence and efficiency.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in an Engineering and/or Security discipline with a minimum of five years of experience.

  • High proficiency in written English and ability to deliver clear, concise customer-facing technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience in information security, vulnerability management, application security, and/or product security. (5 years)

  • Policy background is desired.

  • Familiarity with ongoing security research against Intel products and infrastructure and ability to apply that knowledge to product security incident response.

  • Security certifications like CEH, CISSP, GIAC, GCIA, SANS. etc. are desired.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
