The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Technicians perform functions associated with executing Preventive/Corrective Maintenance of the equipment used in the MFG process areas. Look for continuous improvements in the execution of the maintenance tanks and the specification documents as well. Also look for opportunities to optimize the use of spares and parts consumed during the maintenance activities. Be responsible for maintaining healthy critical success indicators like Preventive Maintenance Warranty and Preventive Maintenance duration. Provide support to the Manufacturing area when required. May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work. A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits: Demonstrated discipline, attentiveness to detail, and the ability to work under limited supervision. Capable of handling multiple assignments in a timely manner while meeting assigned deadlines. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork and influencing skills. Train other technicians and lead by example attitude.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. High School Diploma and Technical Degree or Diploma; or advanced Bachelor's studies in Electronics. Electromechanical, Mechatronic, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a technician. Willing to work on shift (12 hours a day, 4 consecutive days of work followed by 3 consecutive off days). Able to work during weekends. English level: B1 (CEFR). Unrestricted Costa Rican work permit. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience using metrology equipment. Problem Solving Methodologies. Experience on visual inspection operations and defect validation and disposition. Windows Software Packages Proficiency. Knowledge in Basic Statistical Process Control and Lot disposition tools. High Volume Manufacturing/Lab Environment Experience and Familiar with defect signature. Knowledge in process overview in Assembly and/or Test and Finish. Knowledge on Metrology, such as Reject Validation and Measurement/Inspection Equipment.
