About the Role
This key position is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, safe and evidence-based nursing practice that supports person-centred outcomes for patients and the well-being of staff. Working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will also provide operational, clinical and professional leadership to staff.
You will also:
Actively manage portfolios as delegated by NUM
Supervise and direct other staff as required in clinical practice
Mentor or preceptor nursing staff to facilitate and nurture professional growth
Classifications for this position will range from YW11 – YW12 ($106,834.00 - $110,432.10 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
You will be a motivational leader who brings significant experience in Haematology/ Oncology nursing to the role. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will see be able to direct and encourage an interdisciplinary team. Your demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will see you contribute to the highest quality of care possible.

Current AHPRA Registration
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

6 West is a 20 bed unit comprising of 20 acute Haematology and Oncology beds. 6 West upholds strong values of providing high quality care to our patients and excellent communication between all health professionals from all disciplines. All staff on 6 West are required to actively participate in their own professional development and self directed learning in order to maintain high quality clinical skills and knowledge.
