• Senior leadership opportunity - this role is a backfill role as part of a transition to retirement arrangement for our current Pain Manager. A permanent position will be advertised in 2024, with start date of 3rd August 2024.

About the Role
You are a dynamic and experienced leader of multidisciplinary teams, interested in an opportunity to work with an outstanding group of clinicians.
You will work closely with the Clinical Director of the Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management, and be operationally responsible for delivery of an excellent and innovative pain service.
You have an understanding of budget management, HR management & OHS systems, activity based funding and ideally an awareness of Pain Management and it's complexities.
The classification range for this position is Allied Health Grade 4, or nursing equivalent.
Allied Health Gr 4 Yr1 - Yr4 ($121,186 - $133,530 per annum) or,
NUM Level 2, NM11 ($126,074 per annum) with over award to match Allied Health rate.
Your Contribution
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Allied Health Discipline / Nursing
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as relevant for the profession
Eligible for membership in the discipline’s professional association
Current Victorian driver’s licence
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About The Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management
The Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management is a multidisciplinary pain service that services outpatients and provides a consultative service to inpatients and the acute pain service also provides an interventional service run out of day surgery. The service comprises specialist pain clinicians (Pain Medicine Physicians, Pain medicine trainees (Fellows), Psychiatrist, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Research Assistant) working as an integrated team to address the medical, physical and psychosocial factors contributing to the persistence of pain and its consequent disability. The Centre services a diverse group of clients from around Victoria (including Worksafe and TAC clients), many with complex needs and co-morbidities (psychological complexity, significant physical impairment, medication related issues, risk issues, litigation, employment), offering treatment both individually and in groups.
