ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Maternity Services in Fitzroy provides comprehensive care for women during their pregnancy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic, suitably qualified Lactation Consultants for our maternity services.

  • Casual position, shifts are predominantly Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work evening, night shifts and weekends available
  • Promotes and works within a midwifery model of women centred care
  • Demonstrates expert breastfeeding knowledge and skills and acts a breastfeeding resource for all other health professionals
  • Provide a key role in supporting women to breastfeed their newborn

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding and highly experienced lactation consultant, who has a strong commitment in providing exceptional patient centred care. You will work alongside the maternity services multidisciplinary team, and will be involved in diverse aspects of delivery service from pregnancy and postnatal care.
Your skills will include:

  • Required: Qualification in IBCLC
  • Experience as a Lactation Consultant
  • Registered Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Experience in problem solving, negotiation and conflict management
  • Demonstrated experience in postnatal care
  • Dedicated to safe best practice and quality care
  • Desirable: Proficiency in other languages


REMUNERATION:
SVHPM EBA 2020, Classification/Grade: 3B $51.65 + 25% casual loading + salary packaging + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
