Salary: $123,031.85-$125,546.86/$117,544 – 120,393/ $105,553 – 128,653 base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the newly established Men’s Health Service. The St Vincent’s Nelune Men’s Health Centre is part of Medical Oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and will bring together some of Australia’s leading prostate cancer experts, within a single campus, to provide definitive, world-class healthcare. Our experienced team has expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, cancer genetics, Theranostics, psychology, allied health and nursing. The role of a Psychosexual Therapist is a key position within the St. Vincent’s Men’s Health Centre to;
Provides evidence based psychosexual therapy intervention led by person-directed goals.
Develop structured psychosexual therapy pathways for men diagnosed with cancer and their partners, in particular prostate cancer.
Deliver education and training internally for other health professionals on psychosexuality and cancer.
Participate in research and quality activities within the St. Vincent’s Men’s Health Centre
Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and accreditation processes.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Psychosexual therapist who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are qualified in Psychosexual therapy with effective communication and interpersonal skills to support patients from our St Vincent’s Nelune Men’s Health Centre, their families and/or carers.

Selection Criteria
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) OR degree in Allied Health with current AHPRA Registration OR accredited undergraduate degree in psychology with AHPRA general psychologist registration.
Post graduate qualifications (Masters Level) in Psychosexual Therapy.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
Demonstrated high level computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
Demonstrated high level effective communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice and evidence of commitment to research development.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment
